Specialized respiratory equipment for medically complex patients.
Support with respiratory equipment, oxygen, suction, mobility needs, and other essential medical equipment.
Serving the community since 1997. Adult, Pediatric & Neonatal respiratory expertise.
Redefining what HME can be
Unlike traditional HME providers that only deliver equipment, New Start is creating a fully integrated support model that combines advanced respiratory equipment, ventilator and tracheostomy expertise, clinical coordination, transition support, and patient independence training. Our goal is to become a preferred hospital-to-home partner for medically complex patients requiring safe discharge solutions and ongoing home-based support.
We are focused on building strategic partnerships with hospitals, managed care organizations, case managers, and healthcare systems to reduce readmissions, improve patient outcomes, and create sustainable long-term care pathways in the home setting.
Our vision is to redefine what HME can be by delivering not only equipment, but a complete continuum of support that empowers patients to live safely and independently at home while improving healthcare system efficiency and outcomes.

Home Mechanical Ventilation is our Specialty
New Start Home Medical Equipment was started by the Pioneer of All Congregate Living Health Facilities, Mary Williams.
We have a team of highly experienced and skilled Respiratory Care Practitioners with Adult, Pediatric, and Neonatal acute-care experience. We have chosen to specialize in home mechanical ventilation and the associated equipment and supplies because of the great need to have highly specialized personnel providing these services in the home setting.
- Providing ventilator management services and education and training for Congregates since 1997.
- Over 100 years experience between 4 staff RTs.
- Instrumental in working with the BVNPT in establishing safe guidelines and educational requirements for LVNs to provide safe and effective ventilator management in the homecare setting.

- Ask for a demonstration of every device (ventilator, suction, oxygen) and practice it yourself until you feel confident.
- Save the 24/7 Respiratory Care on-call number in your phone and post it where everyone at home can see it.
